The Brief
Take information gathered using the facebook OpenGraph API and make something of it.
I thought if I kept my brief short, I would have a simple and short project, well I couldn't have been further from the truth. The site is still under construction.
Information
I have written a bespoke CMS that accesses the information gathered with a daily cron job. I wrote a smarty modifier to recognise domains and URL's and create links, a smarty function to paginate through data, a smarty function to display the dynamic calendars and a php crawler to link event venues with events in the calendar when the cron job is run. I have also written a keyword smarty function that matches keywords to links saved in the database and links and creates hyperlinks from the keywords, this allows me to create targeted keyword links.

Web Hosting, one hot topic in my life and search engine optimisation the other together they led me to register a targeted domain name to sell co.za registrations.
Information
Using the popular and trusted WHMCS program I have built a functional website using the smarty template engine, it doesn't take long to take a static page and make it dynamic, slicing the psd up and writing the static page took longer. This website is definitely one of my favourites.

The Brief
I've always typed so many notes and short reminders for myself in good old NotePad, so that when I need a refresher I can quickly browse through them and stir up the old grey matter. The result was that I ended up with a scattered lot of notes all over my PC and me sometimes spending as much time looking for something I had solved months ago, as apposed to solving it all over again. As ever, with search engine optimisation in mind I registered the domain and built myself a website to catalog and share my experiences.
Information
I have used JQuery and javascript for the ajax navigation and effects, I wrote the entire website's xHtml and CSS with a liquid layout, the site flexes with different screen resolutions.
The bespoke CMS was built using, php/mysql PHP5 and smarty templates.
Young Modz

The Brief
The Young Modz club is a non-profit organization that takes part in regular competitive and fun events, organized by a small committee. The club was started in the Western Province on the 16 June 2007 in memory of a good friend that passed away in an unfortunate car accident.
